Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 21, 2026
Six Futures, LLC (“Six Futures,” “we,” or “us”) is a financial education company founded in 2025 that aims to make complex financial systems clear and relevant to everyday life . We focus on empowering generational wealth in Black and other communities of color through education, tools, and community support. Racial Equity Data (“RED”) Lab is the data and risk intelligence arm of Six Futures, measuring how financial, housing, education, and civic systems produce unequal outcomes and associated risks . Together, Six Futures and RED Lab are committed to protecting your privacy while providing valuable insights and services.
This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights regarding your information when you use our website (www.sixfutures.com), sign up for our services (such as newsletters or community platforms), or interact with Six Futures and RED Lab content (collectively, our “Services”). By using our Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us, information collected automatically about your use of our Services, and information that may be provided by third parties. The types of information we collect now and anticipated future data are detailed below:
-
Information You Provide Directly: When you engage with Six Futures, you may provide personal identifiers and contact information such as your username, real name, email address, and any other details you choose to share. For example:
-
Account Registration or Newsletter Sign-Up: If you create an account or subscribe to our newsletter, we collect information like your username, full name, and email address.
-
Contact Forms and Communications: If you reach out via our contact form, email, or phone, we collect the information you submit (such as your name, email, phone number, and the content of your message). This also applies if you participate in surveys, sign up for events, or otherwise correspond with us.
-
Anticipated Future Data: As our Services grow, we may request additional profile information to better tailor content and insights. This could include demographic and socioeconomic information such as age or date of birth, gender, occupation, education level, income range, ZIP code, or other indicators of financial and social context. Providing such information will typically be optional and used to enhance our educational content or for aggregated research purposes (see How We Use Information below). If we begin collecting new categories of personal data, we will do so in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.
-
-
Information We Collect Automatically: Like many websites, we and our third-party service providers (such as analytics and advertising partners) collect certain information automatically when you visit or use our Services. This may include:
-
Device and Usage Data: Your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address (which may give a general location such as city or state), browser type, device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and system settings. We also log information about your usage of the site, such as the pages or articles you view, the features you use, the time and date of your visits, the referring page (if you came from a link), and your navigation actions on our site.
-
Cookies and Similar Technologies: We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect data about your browsing activities and to enhance your experience. Cookies are small text files placed on your device that can remember your preferences and track activity . For example, we may use cookies to remember your site preferences, keep you logged in to your account, or understand how users interact with our content. For more details, see Cookies and Tracking Technologies (Section 4) below.
-
Analytics Information: We may use analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics or similar) that employ cookies and scripts to collect information about how users interact with our site. This information helps us analyze traffic, understand user engagement and demographics, and improve our Services. These analytics services may collect data such as your IP address, device information, and user behavior on our site. Data collected by analytics providers is typically aggregated and de-identified.
-
-
Information from Third Parties: Currently, we do not collect substantial personal data from third-party sources about individual users. However, in the future we may receive information about you from third parties if you engage with Six Futures on other platforms. For example, if you interact with our social media pages or log in through a third-party service, those platforms might share certain information with us (such as your profile name or ID, in accordance with their privacy policies). We will treat any third-party-sourced personal information according to this Privacy Policy. Additionally, RED Lab may utilize publicly available data or partner-provided datasets for research; however, such data is generally not tied to identifiable individuals unless consent has been obtained.
-
Children’s Data: We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age. Our Services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use our Services or send us any personal information. In the event we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will promptly delete that information . For minors who are 13 to 17 years old, our stance is as follows: We may allow teenagers to use certain portions of our Services (for example, educational resources intended for youth financial literacy) where legally permissible, but we strongly encourage that they do so with parental or guardian supervision. If you are a minor in this age range, you should review this Privacy Policy with your parent or guardian. In any case, we adhere to applicable laws like the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other best practices when it comes to minors’ data. Parents or guardians with questions or requests related to children’s privacy can contact us as described in the Contact Us section of this Policy.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for various purposes aligned with our mission of financial education and data-driven insight, as well as for operating our business and providing our Services to you. The uses of personal information include:
-
Providing and Improving Services: We use personal information to operate our website and Services, to create and manage user accounts, and to provide the features you request (for example, delivering our weekly wealth-building newsletter to your email, or allowing you to save preferences on financial calculators). This includes using your information to personalize content or recommendations on our site so that the resources are more relevant to you.
-
Communication and Customer Service: We use contact information (like your email or phone number) to send you important notices or updates about your use of the Services. For instance, if you subscribe to our newsletter or sign up for an event, we will use your email to deliver those communications. We may also respond to you if you contact us with a question, comment, or request. Your name and email may be used to send you informational and promotional content about new articles, tools, podcasts, or community initiatives, but you can opt out of marketing emails as described in Your Rights and Choices (Section 6).
-
Educational and Community Engagement: As a financial education platform, Six Futures may occasionally conduct surveys, quizzes, or interactive programs. If you participate, we will use your responses to provide feedback or results to you and to aggregate insights for educational content development. For community features (such as discussion forums or social media groups run by Six Futures), any personal information you choose to post will be visible to other participants; we will use this information only to facilitate the community interaction and will not repurpose it for unrelated purposes.
-
Analytics and User Experience Improvement: We continually seek to understand how users engage with our Services so we can improve content quality, site navigation, and functionality. We analyze data about site traffic and user behavior (much of this is aggregated or statistical data) to see which topics are most popular, how users move through our site, and where improvements are needed. This helps us refine our educational materials and design a better user experience. For example, we may use device and usage data to diagnose technical issues, maintain security, and optimize page load times.
-
Advertising and Marketing: Initially, Six Futures is supported in part by advertising. We will use certain data (like cookies and browsing history) to display advertisements that are more likely to be relevant to you. Specifically, we plan to use Google AdSense and possibly other advertising networks to serve ads when the site launches. These services may use cookies and tracking data to personalize the ads you see on our site (see Cookies and Tracking Technologies in Section 4 for details). We may also use your information (such as an email hash or cookie ID) to work with advertising partners who help us reach people with similar interests on other platforms. All such marketing uses are conducted in accordance with applicable law, and you have choices as described under Section 6 if you wish to limit targeted advertising.
-
Aggregate Research and Insights (RED Lab): One of the core activities of RED Lab is to analyze financial and socioeconomic data to glean insights about broader trends, disparities, and opportunities . To this end, we may use information you provide in an aggregated or de-identified form for research and analytical purposes. For example, we might combine the data from many users to understand how different groups are engaging with financial education content or to identify trends in economic behavior. RED Lab may produce reports or “risk intelligence” analyses that highlight patterns (such as how various financial or civic systems impact different communities) . Importantly, any insights or publications that RED Lab shares externally will not include personally identifying information. We use only aggregated data or statistical findings for such marketing insights and research outputs. Your personal information is never publicly disclosed in these contexts, and any sharing of these aggregated insights with partners or the public will be anonymized. (See also Section 5 on Data Sharing for more on how we handle aggregated data.)
-
Compliance and Protection: We may use your information to enforce our Terms & Conditions, to comply with legal obligations, and to protect the rights, safety, or property of Six Futures, our users, or others. For example, we might use data to investigate and prevent fraudulent activities or abuse of our Services, or to comply with a court order or regulatory requirement if we are legally obligated to disclose certain information. We also reserve the right to use and disclose data as needed to address security issues or technical problems, such as debugging and fixing errors, and to ensure the integrity of our platform.
We will only use your personal information for the purposes described above or as otherwise disclosed to you at the time of collection. If we need to use your information for an unrelated purpose, we will notify you and obtain any necessary consent or ensure that the new use is compatible with the original purpose. We do not use personal data for purposes incompatible with this Policy without your permission.
3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Cookies and similar technologies are an important part of how we deliver our Services and advertising. Here we explain how we use them and your choices:
-
What Are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device’s hard drive or browser. They serve various functions, like enabling certain features, remembering user preferences, and tracking site usage. Some cookies are temporary (“session” cookies that expire when you close your browser), and others persist for a set period or until deleted (“persistent” cookies). We also use related technologies like web beacons (tiny graphic images embedded in emails or webpages) and local storage. These are collectively referred to as “cookies” here for simplicity .
-
How We Use Cookies: Six Futures uses cookies and similar technologies in several ways, including to:
-
Ensure Site Functionality: Certain cookies are essential for the operation of our website – for example, to keep you logged in to your account or to enable you to use our calculators and tools without re-entering information on every page.
-
Remember Preferences: We might use cookies to save your settings and preferences (such as language, font size, or topic interests), so you have a more personalized experience and don’t have to reset these each visit.
-
Analytics: Cookies help us collect analytics data about how users navigate and use our site (as described in Section 2). For instance, we may use Google Analytics cookies to count visitors, see which content is most popular, and understand aggregate demographics. This helps us improve the site.
-
Advertising: We use cookies and tracking technologies to deliver and measure advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other websites . For example, if you visit our site, Google’s advertising cookies may record that visit and use it to show you relevant ads on our site or across the web. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our sites and/or other sites on the Internet . This is known as interest-based or personalized advertising. Cookies also help prevent you from seeing the same ad too many times and allow us to track ad performance (such as whether an ad was clicked).
-
-
Third-Party Cookies and Tracking: In addition to our own cookies, we allow certain third parties to set cookies or use other tracking technologies via our site. The primary such third parties at our launch are:
-
Advertising Partners: As noted, we work with Google AdSense (and in the future possibly other ad networks) to display ads. These partners use cookies and similar tech to collect data (such as cookie identifiers, IP addresses, and browsing info) over time and across different websites in order to show you tailored ads on our site or elsewhere. We have implemented Google’s required privacy disclosures for AdSense: you are hereby informed that third-party vendors (including Google) use cookies for ads based on your prior browsing , and that Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites .
-
Analytics and Service Providers: Other third-party tools may also set cookies. For example, if we use a tool like Google Analytics, it will set cookies to gather usage statistics (Google Analytics may use cookies to track interactions and provide us aggregate data about website traffic). Likewise, our website is built on WordPress, and certain WordPress plugins or content delivery networks may set cookies for performance and content loading. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing their use of data. We do not provide these third parties with your personal details like name or email; they primarily collect information through automated means (such as your browser and device details).
-
-
Your Choices – Managing Cookies: You have the ability to control or limit how cookies are used on your device:
-
Browser Settings: Most web browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies. You can set your browser to block all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being set. You can also usually delete cookies that have already been set. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some parts of our site may not function properly (for example, you might not be able to log in or use interactive features).
-
Opting Out of Personalized Ads: If you prefer to not receive personalized (interest-based) advertising from Google or other participating companies, you have options. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings page . This allows you to control Google’s use of ad cookies. Alternatively, you can opt out of certain third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized ads by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page at aboutads.info/choices
. These opt-outs typically work by placing an “opt-out cookie” on your browser, so if you clear cookies you may need to opt out again.
-
Do Not Track: Some browsers have a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature that lets you tell websites you do not want to be tracked across sites. However, there is not yet a universal standard for companies to recognize or respond to DNT signals, and thus our site currently does not respond to these signals in any specific way. We continue to monitor industry developments around DNT.
-
For more information on our use of cookies and to adjust your preferences, you can also contact us (see Contact Us at the end of this Policy). We strive to honor users’ privacy choices and provide transparency in our use of tracking technologies.
4. How We Share Your Information
We understand that sharing of personal information is a sensitive topic. Six Futures does not sell your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, we do share certain information with third parties under specific circumstances, as needed to run our Services and in accordance with the law. The categories of third parties with whom we may share information, and the reasons for sharing, are as follows:
-
Service Providers and Vendors: We employ third-party companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf and to support our operations. This includes hosting providers, technical infrastructure providers, analytics services, email service platforms, advertising networks, and future customer data platform providers. For example, our website is hosted on a WordPress platform via GoDaddy, a U.S.-based hosting service – thus, user data (including any information you submit through the site) will be stored on GoDaddy’s servers. We may also integrate a Customer Data Platform (CDP) in the future to centralize and manage user data; that CDP (and similar vendors) will have access to personal information as needed to perform data processing and security functions for us. We only share the information necessary for these providers to perform their services (for instance, our email provider gets your email address to send newsletters, or our analytics provider receives site usage data). These third parties are contractually bound to protect your information, use it only for our purposes, and implement appropriate security measures.
-
Advertising Partners: As discussed in Section 3, we partner with third-party ad networks like Google AdSense to display ads. When you interact with our site, these partners may collect or receive certain information from us and from your browser (via cookies or similar technologies) to provide you with targeted ads. We may share limited data such as your device identifiers or hashed email (in a privacy-safe format) with advertising partners or social media platforms to help deliver our advertisements to you and others who might be interested in our Services. For example, we might use a Facebook or Google advertising service that takes a list of emails (hashed) to find corresponding users for advertising. In doing so, we do not give away your readable personal information; and any third-party receiving data for ad targeting is obligated to use it solely for that purpose and not disclose it further. You can opt out of much of this sharing for advertising via the methods in Section 3 and Section 6 (e.g., using ad preferences or contacting us to opt out).
-
Analytics and Data Insight Partners: We may share de-identified or aggregated data with research partners, universities, or institutional partners who are working with us to advance financial education and economic insights. For instance, RED Lab may collaborate with academic researchers or community organizations; in such cases, we might share aggregated datasets or statistical findings (for example, a trend report showing average financial wellness scores in different regions). These collaborations will never include personally identifiable informationwithout explicit consent from the individuals. Additionally, if we use third-party analytics services (like Google Analytics), those services technically collect information through our site and share it back with us in aggregated form. We ensure such partners do not receive your personal identifiers in the process.
-
Business Partners and Sponsorships: Six Futures might partner with other organizations (for example, a nonprofit promoting financial literacy, or a sponsor for an event or content series) to offer joint content, programs, or contests. If you choose to engage in a co-sponsored program or a feature provided in conjunction with a partner, we might ask for your consent to share your contact information or other necessary data with that specific partner to fulfill the program. In those situations, we will make clear at the point of collection (e.g., on a sign-up form) that the information will be shared and who the partner is. They would be obligated to use your information only for the stated purpose (such as facilitating the event or providing a reward) and to protect it per their privacy policy.
-
Within Our Corporate Family: Six Futures and RED Lab are part of the same organization. Information may be shared between Six Futures and RED Lab internally. For example, data collected through the Six Futures website may be accessed by the RED Lab team for analysis under the safeguards described in this Policy. If in the future Six Futures forms additional affiliates or subsidiaries (such as a “Six Futures Financial Network” or other entities mentioned in our materials), your information may be shared with them as needed, but always under the terms of this Privacy Policy. Any internal sharing will continue to uphold confidentiality and security obligations.
-
Legal Compliance and Protection: We may disclose personal information to third parties if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required to:
-
Comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request (for example, in response to a subpoena or court order).
-
Enforce our Terms & Conditions or other agreements, or investigate potential violations thereof.
-
Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
-
Protect the rights, property, or safety of Six Futures, our users, our employees, or the public. This could include exchanging information with other companies or organizations for fraud protection or responding to an emergency that we believe in good faith requires us to share data to prevent harm.
-
-
Business Transfers: If Six Futures ever undergoes a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our assets, user information (including personal data) might be among the assets transferred. If such a transfer occurs, the successor organization would be bound by this Privacy Policy (or one with equivalent protections for your privacy). We would provide notice on our website (and, if feasible, via email) of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information, along with any choices you may have.
-
Aggregate or De-Identified Data: We may share aggregated, anonymized, or otherwise non-identifiable information with third parties at our discretion. For example, we might publish a report showing that “X% of our users are in a certain age range” or “Community Y has seen Z increase in financial literacy scores,” without revealing any individual’s identity. This type of data cannot be linked back to you personally. Sharing such insights is often part of RED Lab’s mission to highlight trends and advocate for solutions in financial systems . Rest assured that this does not involve disclosing any personal details.
In all cases of data sharing, we take steps to ensure that only the necessary information is disclosed and that it is handled securely and lawfully. Third parties who receive personal data from us are required to handle it with care and confidentiality. We do not allow our service providers or partners to use the personal information we share for any purposes other than those described above.
5. Your Rights and Choices
We believe you should have control over your personal information. Subject to applicable laws, you have the following rights and choices regarding the information you provide to us or that we collect:
-
Access and Correction: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you and to request corrections of any inaccuracies. This means you can ask us for a copy of the specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you. If any of that information is incorrect or has changed (for example, you want to update your email address), please let us know and we will make the appropriate updates.
-
Deletion of Data: You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected from you. Note that we may need to retain certain information for specific reasons (such as to comply with legal obligations or for internal business purposes like record-keeping), but we will honor your deletion request to the fullest extent required by law and will let you know if any data must be retained and why. If you have an online account with us, you may also have the ability to delete your account or certain information directly through your profile settings. Additionally, you may unsubscribe from our email newsletters at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in the emails or by contacting us.
-
Opt-Out of Marketing Communications: If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails or newsletters from us, you may opt out at any time. You can click the “unsubscribe” link in any marketing email you receive, or contact us at our provided email address to request removal. Please note that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you transactional or administrative communications from time to time. For example, we might send an important notice about updates to this Privacy Policy or information about your account (if you have one) even if you have opted out of marketing emails.
-
Cookies & Advertising Choices: As detailed in Section 3, you can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of personalized advertising through Google’s Ad Settings or industry opt-out sites (such as aboutads.info). If you want to revoke consent for cookies or adjust your preferences after you have already given consent (in cases where we might implement a cookie consent tool, especially for international users), you can do so by clearing your cookies or using the privacy settings on our site (if available). Additionally, some mobile devices allow you to limit ad tracking or reset your advertising ID; you can use those device settings to control personalized ads on mobile apps.
-
California Privacy Rights: While Six Futures is initially focused on a U.S. audience and may be considered a small business exempt from certain provisions of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), we strive to extend privacy rights to all our users. If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what personal information is collected, used, shared, or sold, the right to request deletion of your personal information, the right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising these rights. As noted above, we do not sell your personal information, and we provide mechanisms for deletion and access. California residents may contact us to exercise any applicable rights. Additionally, under California’s “Shine the Light” law, California users may request a notice identifying the categories of personal information we share (if any) with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes and the contact information for such third parties. However, please note that we do not share personal information with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing except as described in this Policy or with your consent.
-
GDPR and International Rights: If and when we expand our Services to residents of the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with comprehensive data protection laws, individuals in those jurisdictions will be afforded the rights granted by those laws. These may include the right to object to or restrict processing of your data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent for data processing (where consent is the basis). Although currently our Services are U.S.-focused, if you are an international user engaging with our site, you can still contact us with any privacy requests and we will do our best to accommodate them in line with our commitment to privacy and applicable law.
To exercise any of your rights or choices described above, please Contact Us using the information in Section 9. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (for example, to ensure that it’s actually you making the request and not an unauthorized person). Verification might involve confirming information we already have on file or asking you to provide certain details. We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with any deadlines set by law. There is no fee for making a reasonable request, though if you make repeated or excessive requests, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or refuse the request as permitted by law.
6. Data Security
We take the security of your personal information very seriously. Six Futures has implemented a combination of administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration. Here are some key aspects of our security program:
-
Secure Hosting Environment: Our website and user database are hosted on a WordPress platform provided through GoDaddy’s hosting services. GoDaddy, as a reputable hosting provider, maintains industry-standard security practices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and regular security monitoring to protect the servers on which your data resides. All traffic between your browser and our website is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology (you will see “https://” in our URL), which helps protect data in transit from eavesdropping.
-
Access Controls: Internally, we limit access to personal information to those staff and contractors who need it to perform their job duties (for example, our team members who manage the newsletter will have access to the subscriber email list). Those with access are bound by confidentiality obligations. We implement password protection and, where possible, multi-factor authentication for administrative access to our systems to prevent unauthorized logins.
-
Customer Data Platform (CDP) Integration: In the near future, we plan to implement a Customer Data Platform to consolidate and manage user data across our Services. A CDP will enhance our ability to enforce privacy and security controls by providing a centralized system for data handling. Through the CDP, we can more effectively manage user consent, ensure consistent data practices across Six Futures and RED Lab, and quickly respond to deletion or access requests. Importantly, any CDP or similar system we use will be vetted for strong security certifications and compliance (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar standards). Data stored in the CDP will be protected with encryption (both in transit and at rest) and robust access control, and the vendor will be contractually required to maintain high security standards.
-
Regular Updates and Patching: We keep our software, including the content management system (WordPress) and any plugins or tools, up to date with the latest security patches. Regular updates reduce vulnerabilities. We also perform periodic security scans and assessments of our website to identify and address potential weaknesses.
-
Monitoring and Incident Response: We monitor our systems for potential security breaches or anomalies. If any suspicious activity is detected, we investigate promptly. We also have an incident response plan in place. In the unlikely event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law, and we will take appropriate steps to contain and remediate the breach.
-
Training and Awareness: Our team is educated on privacy and data security best practices. We treat user data with care, and we ensure that anyone who works with personal information is aware of their responsibilities in protecting it.
Despite our efforts, please understand that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You can also play a part in keeping your data secure: protect your account credentials and do not share your login information with others. If you have reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you suspect that your account has been compromised), please contact us immediately so we can assist.
7. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, as outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. In practice, this means:
-
For users who create an account or subscribe to our Services, we will keep your personal data on file while your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Services. If you decide to delete your account or unsubscribe, we will initiate deletion of the associated personal data. However, we may keep a backup or archival copy for a certain period (in a secure manner) in case it is needed for legal disputes or record-keeping.
-
If you contact us or send a request, we may retain records of that correspondence (including any personal information contained) for a reasonable period, to manage our relationship and to have documentation in case of follow-up needs.
-
We retain aggregated and de-identified information (which is not personally identifiable) indefinitely for research and analytical purposes. For instance, overall site usage statistics or financial education impact metrics may be stored long-term, but this data will not be linked to individual identities.
-
We also may retain certain limited information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations. For example, records that demonstrate compliance with user consent or privacy requests, or data needed for tax, audit, or accounting purposes, may be stored for the duration required by law (which can be several years depending on the jurisdiction).
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete it or anonymize it. If deletion (or anonymization) is not immediately feasible (for example, because the data is stored in backup archives), we will securely store the data and isolate it from any further active use until deletion is possible.
8. International Users and Data Transfers
Six Futures is based in the United States, and at this time our Services are primarily intended for users within the U.S. (We write content and provide tools that are generally relevant to U.S. financial systems and audiences.) If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and possibly other jurisdictions where our service providers are located. The data protection laws in these countries may differ from those in your home country.
By using our Services or providing us with your information, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to the U.S. and handled as described in this Privacy Policy. We will take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your personal data in transit and upon arrival. For example, if we receive personal information from the European Union or other regions with data transfer regulations, we will rely on lawful transfer mechanisms such as standard contractual clauses or other legal equivalents, and we will update our practices to align with the requirements of those regions.
Looking ahead, we are open to future international expansion. If Six Futures extends its offerings to users in other countries or regions, we will update this Privacy Policy and our practices as needed to comply with those jurisdictions’ privacy laws. For instance, if we formally launch services in the European Union, we will comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any national laws, including honoring the rights of EU users (such as the right to access, erasure, etc., as mentioned earlier) and implementing measures like obtaining clear consent for cookies and providing GDPR-compliant privacy notices . Similarly, for any other country with specific requirements, we will ensure adherence to those rules.
In summary, no matter where you reside, we handle your personal information with care and in accordance with the principles of this Policy. However, if you are an international user and feel that any aspect of our data handling does not meet your local privacy standards, please reach out to us (see Contact Us below) so we can address your concerns or clarify our practices.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
Our website and content may contain links to third-party websites, plug-ins, or services that are not operated by Six Futures. For example, our site features links to our pages on external platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube (for community engagement and additional content). We may also refer to external resources or articles for further reading. If you click on a third-party link or engage with an external service (like watching an embedded YouTube video or sharing an article via a social media button), you will be interacting with those third-party services, not directly with Six Futures.
Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to any websites or services that we do not own or control. Third-party sites and services have their own privacy policies and data handling practices, which may differ from ours. For instance, if you go to a partner’s website or sign up for a service we recommend, any information you provide to those third parties will be governed by their privacy policy. Similarly, if you see an advertisement on our site and click it, any data collected by the advertiser or the target site after that click is subject to their rules.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services before providing information to them. 10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, incorporate new services, or comply with legal requirements. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of the Policy. If the changes are significant, we will provide a more prominent notice, such as by posting a notice on our website homepage or by emailing users (if we have your email on file) to inform you of the updated policy.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we are protecting your information. Your continued use of our Services after any changes to the Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with a change, you should cease using our Services and can request that we delete your personal information as per Section 5.
For historical reference, we will keep prior versions of the Privacy Policy available (for example, by archiving them or providing a “Last updated” history on our site) so you can see how the policy has evolved.
